The Chesterfield Kings

The Kings' third single from July 1982. These guys were responsible for starting the whole eighties garage scene and a great job they did. Don't see how I could have survived the eighties without any of that. This version has it all: tremeloed fuzz guitars, the mighty Vox Continental organ sound and a vocalist in top form. Best of all it ends with a helluva rave-up to round it al up. No siree, it hardly gets any better than this. The A-side of this great single was originally done by The Barbarians ('Hey Little Bird' b/w 'You've Got To Understand' - Joy 45M-290) in 1964 and a different take of 'Hey Little Bird' appears on latter pressings of the second Chesterfield Kings LP 'Stop!'. The 'Fossils' LP also contains a live version of 'I Can Only Give You Everything', read on and learn all about it!
