The Chesterfield Kings are rumored to have provided
the tapes for this bootleg themselves. Recorded live Washington DC, 1982.
The recording quality is not that great but the Kings really kick ass.
The atmosphere is great and I must say that I like the live version almost
as much as the studio take, although the wild rave-up isn't yet present.
When I saw The Chesterfield Kings in 1987 they performed a fantastic live
version with a lenghty rave-up, wish I had brought my cassette recorder
with me! 'Fossils' was issued three times, every time with a new jacket!
