This is part of a three track EP, released July
1990. The other two tracks are 'Everything's Alright' & 'Death Ride
To Osaka'. The 'Everything's Alright' 7' EP (Black REV 64) does not include
'I Can Only Give You Everything'. Crazyhead was formed in 1986 and the following year
they released two great 45's: 'What Gives You The Idea That You're So Amazing,
Baby?' and 'Baby Turpentine'. 1988 saw the release of a 3rd 45, 'Time Has
Taken It's Toll On You' and an album, 'Desert Orchid'. Later that year
they toured Europe, opening for Iggy Pop! In 1989 they became the darlings
of the British music tabloids, you know how they're always on the lookout
for the next big thing. The following years Crazyhead toured the USSR,
Romania, the USA and Namibia (!) Their best known record, an EP called
'Have Love Will Travel' was released, followed in mid 1990 by the 'Everything's
Alright' EP, which includes a dynamite version of 'I Can Only Give You
Everything'. Several other albums and singles followed. Their latest CD,
called 'Fucked By Rock' came out in 1999. Crazyhead's use of a brass section
(played by The Space Bastards) on 'I Can Only Give You Everything' is something
you don't see too often. I only know of one other band who did the same:
The Road in 1969. Crazyhead credit the song (just like The Liverpool Five)
to (Scott/Morrison/Coulter). Line-up: Kev Reverb (guitar) - Anderson (vocals)
- Porkbeast (bass) - Fast Dick (guitar) - Vom (drums). Produced by Crazyhead
& Andy Povall. |
