Paris Green
|
Paris Green was Louis Tillet's new band after the Wet Taxis broke up. The CD has the complete Wet Taxis output, 4 songs by Paris Green and 1 song by No Dance, another Louis Tillett band. The Paris Green stuff was recorded
1984-1986. Paris Green were: Louis Tillett (vocals) - Charlie Owen (guitar) - Louis Burdett (drums) - Raoul Hawkins (bass) - Jamie Fielding (organ). Second longest of all versions, only the Needs give it one extra second. Hope
nobody ever tries to beat that record though. Still, this is a very potent, Doors inspired version but a little too rock for my taste, I think I would have prefered the Wet Taxis garage approach instead. By all means be sure to pick up
the Wet Taxis 'From The Archives' LP (Hot 1012) if you ever see it. One of the great lost 80's garage albums that not to many people know exists.
