Plan 9
|
Recorded June-July 1981. One would assume that a band that included 4 (!) guitarists in their line up could never produce a decent version of the song, but Plan 9 are here to prove you wrong. The song is slowed down in full psych/punk fashion and the singing's just awesome. The snottiest vocals this side of Roky Erickson! Recorded in the same place (Trod Nossel Studios - Wallingford, CT) where The Bram Rigg Set recorded their version 14 years
earlier. Line-up: Eric Stumpo (lead vocals/guitar) - Deborah DeMarco (organ) - John DeVault (guitar) - Tom Champlin (guitar) - Evan Williams (guitar) - Michael Ripa (vocals/tambourine) - John Florence (bass) - Michael
Meehan (drums). Produced by Plan 9.
