The Rainy Days
|
For one reason or another both the 'Michigan Mixture' and 'Mayhem and
Psychosis' comps credit the song to The Rainy Daze! The better known Rainy
Daze came from Denver Colorado and had a hit with 'That Acapulco Gold', but
they have nothing to do with The Rainy Days from Michigan. Credited to (T.
Scott). This killer version fails only in comparison to The MC5, high
praise indeed. Another curious remark: this version was recorded in the
same studios (United Sound, Detroit) where the MC5 recorded their version
one week later! A similar thing happened to Paul Revere And The Raiders who
recorded their version of 'Louie Louie' shortly before the Kingsmen did,
also in the same studios. Line-up: Tom Brzezina (vocals) - Gary Rozycki
(lead guitar) - Alan Hafeli (rhythm guitar) - John Einowski (bass) - Paul
Isaacson (organ) - Jim Nosakowski (drums). A Mass Production!
