R.E.M. (live 1)
|
Subtitled 'A Trip Through The Fifties, The Sixties and The Seventies'. Performed live at Barrymores, Ottawa, Canada on August 17, 1985. Pretty decent version by the young R.E.M. who still had more covers than originals on
their setlist at that time in their carreer. The whole double LP is filled with fifties, sixties and seventies covers (28 of them!), ranging from 'Louie Louie' to 'God Save The Queen'. This is an audience recording. Three quarters of R.E.M.
assisted The Troggs on their 1992 album 'Athens Andover'. Line-up: Michael Stipe (vocals) - Peter Buck (guitar) - Mike Mills (bass) - Bill Berry (drums).
