Running Stream
|
One of my favorite tracks on the landmark 1986 comp 'The Declaration Of Fuzz' (Glitterhouse RP 10663) is a great garage psych original called 'I Never Loved A Girl'. Their first album (actually an 8 track mini-LP) was
released on the Austrian Ton Um Ton Records, which led the compilers of 'The Declaration Of Fuzz' to believe that Running Stream hailed from Vienna too. No siree, Running Stream called Trieste, Italy their home. Their
organist, Ugly was also in The Woody Peakers, another great band from Trieste. Thanks for all the info, Vanya! There's 4 more covers on the album: 'Acid Head' (Velvet Illusions), 'I'm Not Like Everybody Else' (The
Kinks), 'Enough' (The Bohemian Vendetta) and 'Gloria' (Them). Running Stream were Sw. Premdhyan (guitar/vocals) - Zombie (bass/backing vocals) - Shorty (drums/sound effects) - Ugly Thing (Vox organ) - Pyril (harp).
