Les Sultans

Credited to (Bruce Huard/Les Sultans)! Bruce Huard was the band's vocalist. Recorded May 1966, on the flip there's a cover of 'Don't Look Back' lifted from the 'Angry Young Them' album. On their debut album, Les Sultans covered another track from Them's first LP, 'C' Est Promis' ('Go On Home Baby'). Obviously they were big fans of Van Morrison and Co. Although there's an organ present on this recording it features a harmonica solo, which is rather unusual but the combination works really well. Love those screams too! The 4 tracks on the Super 4 EP are: 'Tu Es Impossible' / 'Les Filles' b/w 'L'Amour S'En Va' / 'Le Père Jean'. DSP stands for Denis S. Pantis, who owned the label. Not only did he play the organ on 'Tu Es Impossible', he produced the first album as well. He also owned the Télédisc label. Read all about Les Sultans in Jukebox Magazine # 106. Line-up: Bruce Huard (vocals) - Claude Reid (guitar/harmonica) - Denis Forcier (organ/guitar:backing vocals) - Ghislain Dufault (bass) - Pierre Bélanger (drums). Produced by Denis Pantis.
