Les Sultans (live)
|
Recorded at their farewell concert, February 1968. If you're lucky enough to find the 4 LP set, you get both the studio and live versions. This time the song is credited to (Huard/Forcier)! Denis Forcier was the band's
guitarist/organist. The reason that the live version is half a minute shorter than the studio take is because it doesn't feature a solo! It could be a coincidence, but it's funny that The Haunted also left the solo off their live version.
The audience goes completely beserk throughout the concert, what a night that must have been. Sultanmania could be the appropriate term to describe this mayhem. Yes, it was recorded in 1968, but it sure doesn't sound like it.
Les Sultans sounded a lot rawer on stage than on record. Excellent all the way! Sultanmania rules!
