The Vets do an Elevators inspired version on their debut album. As a matter of fact Roky Erickson's influence is all over the album, hence the LP title. There's also two great Elevators covers which are among the best ever!.
Curiously they put the original lyrics to the guitar part of 'Gloria' which is a nice surprise. The organ player goes completely over the top at a certain point, very intricate stuff, but oh so cool! Line-up: Mark 'Vet' Enbatta
