The Satelliters
|
The Satelliters' first full length album, or was 'Hi Karate' (Dionysus ID 123339) number one. It turns out that both albums were released on the same day. A feat they repeated in 1997 when 'Shapes Of Sound' (Screaming
Apple SCALP 116) and 'Wylde Knights Of Action' (Dionysus ID 123347) were also released simultaneously! That's something you don't see very often and neither is the fact that all of their stuff is simply the best garage
punk has to offer. Needless to say their version of 'I Can Only Give You Everything' is one of the very best. A fuzz-free (!) example of sheer excitement and energy complete with the requisite snot filled vocals. Steve
Satellite's singing is awesome, simply one of the best garage singers of all time. All of their albums are excellent throughout. Line-up: Simba (guitar) - Steve (vocals/organ) - Diego (bass) - Hanes (drums).
