The Troggs (live 3)

Recorded live in Palais Des Sports, Paris during 'Le Premier Festival International De Pop Music De Paris' on June 1, 1967. Other acts include the VIP's (2 tracks on this CD), the Pretty Things (3 tracks), Ronnie Bird (3 tracks but 'Chante' isn't one of them! See Ronnie Bird entry), John Walker (2 tracks), Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick And Tich (4 tracks) and Jimmy Cliff (2 tracks). 'I Can Only Give You Everything' is one of 8 live tracks by the Troggs. Most of Reg's vocals disappear during the first verse, but apart from that this version is very good. Very raw and intense. This CD also includes the best ever version of 'From Home', man what a noise they made. Proto punk avant la letter!!! Completely over the top! Line-up: Reg Presley (vocals) - Chris Britton (guitar) - Pete Staples (bass) - Ronnie Bond (drums).
