Ola And The Janglers
|
A friend once taped me 2 Ola And The Janglers albums ('Pictures And Sounds' and 'Underground') that didn't impress me at all, all pop and little to get excited about. But then I got their 2 first LP's ('Surprise, Surprise' and 'Patterns') and I had to change my opinion about Ola And The Janglers. 'Patterns' is by all means the best Ola And The Janglers LP I've heard so far and hey, what do you know, it even includes a version of 'I Can Only Give You Everything'. Pretty good version at that, you just gotta love Ola's weird Swedish accent and the fact that he got most of the lyrics completely wrong. So charming, aaaah I just love this kind of thing. They even repeat the bass mistake from Them's version, very odd to say the least! Line-up: Ola Håkansson (vocals) - Claes af Geijerstam (guitar) - Åke Eldsäter (bass) - Johannes Olsson (organ) - Leif Johansson (drums). Produced by Gunnar Bergström.
